Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our policies and care
What are your scheduled closings?
New Year's Day, MLK Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People's Day (Columbus Day), Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, & New Year's Eve.
If a holiday falls on a weekend, we will observe that holiday the Friday BEFORE or Monday AFTER. All centers will close an hour early on Halloween Day.
In the event of bad weather closings/delay, each location follows the school district they are in. If the school district does not call it, but owners feel traveling is not safe for staff/children/parents, they will send out a message on Brightwheel to inform all parents.
Is there a registration fee? If so, how much is it?
Yes. Registration fees are annual and will vary by location. Please see the Locations page for more information.
How much is tuition? How often am I charged?
Tuition will be due weekly; every Friday BEFORE the upcoming week. Tuition is due by close at your location. Tuition prices vary by location. Please see the Locations page for more information.
What is included in tuition?
Tuition will include all meals in care: breakfast, lunch, & afternoon snack, as well as full-time hours. Hours vary by location. Please see the Locations page for more information.
What time are meals served?
Breakfast: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM | Afternoon Snack: 3:00 PM
Do you accept CCS?
Our Temple, Copperas Cove, and Pflugerville locations all currently accept CCS!
What time is nap time? What if my child doesn't nap?
Nap time is from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. If your child does not nap, we will give them a quiet activity to do while the other children nap after 30 minutes of rest.
What supplies do I need to provide for my child?
Supplies needed will vary by age. For more information, contact your local Because We Care Learning Academy.
What ages do you accept?
All centers enroll as early as 6 weeks to 12 years.
What is an open-door policy?
Our open-door policy is for all parents. At any time, if you are wanting to stop in and check on your child(ren), attend a party/lunch, or simply ask how your child(ren)'s day is, we strongly encourage you. The more involved the parent and childcare center is, the better the relationship is built for your child(ren).
What are your policies for outside time?
Weather permitting, children will participate in 60–90 minutes of outside time daily. You will find a detailed outdoor policy in your handbook that discusses dress code, length, weather, and more.
What is your vacation policy?
After being enrolled for a consecutive six-month period, you are entitled to one free week of vacation per calendar year. The week must be Monday–Friday and your child MAY NOT attend when using this credit.
You will also have the option of two part-time weeks at half tuition, rather than one full week free.
Do you offer part-time care?
No. We DO NOT offer part-time care or a part-time rate. We also DO NOT offer drop-in care!
What form of communication do you use?
We use an application called Brightwheel for constant communication. This application allows families to receive real-time updates during their child(ren)'s day, such as meals, bottles, diapers, activities, photos, videos, and so much more!
This application also has a line of communication that is accessible 24/7. If ever the class is busy, the teachers do paper-form communication to be able to input the information at a quiet time.
