I am the proud owner of Because We Care Learning Academy. Entrepreneurship has always been in my heart, but it took me some time to discover my true passion—childcare. Before opening my centers, I owned both a tattoo shop and a barbershop, experiences that helped shape my love for business and community. However, nothing has ever been as fulfilling as serving children and families.

I opened my first center in Temple in 2017, and that first year taught me more than I ever imagined. Through that experience, I recognized the growing need for high-quality childcare in nearby communities. In 2018, my best friend Kayla and I opened our Copperas Cove location. We later expanded into Pflugerville in 2021, and in July of 2023, I proudly opened my fourth center in Harker Heights with my husband.

Childcare is not just my business—it is my purpose. I truly love being a staple in the communities we serve and creating a safe, nurturing, and dependable place for children to grow.

I am happily married to my husband, and together we have three amazing children: Brooke (21), Aliyah (12), and Lux (7). When I'm not working, you'll usually find me traveling, discovering the smallest hole-in-the-wall restaurants, or cheering on my kids at their sporting events. Most weekends are spent at either Aliyah's volleyball tournaments or Lux's baseball tournaments, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Building these centers has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I am honored every day to be trusted with the care of so many wonderful children.

I'm one of the owners of Because We Care Learning Academy in Pflugerville and Copperas Cove. I also handle marketing for Land Exchange Abstract & Title in Killeen, and I've been part of the title industry for 13 years. After opening our second location in Pflugerville with Sheena, I've learned so much and truly developed a deep passion for our centers. We take great pride in both our kiddos and our staff, and I'm incredibly proud to be part of such a strong team that genuinely loves and cares for the children we serve.

Outside of work, I'm a proud mama to two amazing daughters. Brooklyn is 14 and has explored several sports throughout middle school, and I'm excited to see which one she thrives in as she heads into high school next year. Trinity is 7, and softball is her number one passion—she's headed into her second year of travel ball! She also loves dance and attends A & K Dance Studio, where she absolutely thrives.

It means so much to me that our centers are homegrown and not a franchise—built on local love, care, and community. Thank you for trusting us with your babies.
